This notice explains what personal data we collect through this website and through the messages you send us, what we do with it and the choices you have. Personal data inside client systems that we build or run for you is handled under the written agreement for that project, which sets out who is responsible for what. ## What we collect ### Through the contact form Your name, work email, company, company size, a description of the work you want looked at, a budget range and, if you choose to tell us, how you heard about us. Please do not send passwords, access keys, payment card numbers or health records through the form. ### When you email us or join a call Whatever you include in your email, plus the usual email details such as your address and the time it was sent. If we take notes on a scoping call, we keep them with your message. ### When you browse the site Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs: IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. To stop repeat submissions, the contact form holds your IP address in server memory for up to 10 minutes. It is never written to disk. ### Cookies and analytics This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add an analytics tool, we will name it here, say what it records and change the date at the top of this page. ## Why we use it - To reply to your message and arrange a scoping call - To prepare a written scope and price, and keep a record of what was agreed - To run and protect the website, including stopping spam and abuse - To meet legal, tax and accounting duties once we work together Where a law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interest in answering business inquiries, on steps you asked us to take before a contract, on the contract itself once we work together, or on a legal obligation. ## What we do not do - We do not sell or rent personal data. - We do not use it for advertising or share it with advertisers. - We do not add you to a newsletter or mailing list unless you ask to join one. - We do not use what you send us to train AI models. ## Who else handles it We use a small number of providers who process data for us under their own terms and security commitments: - Website hosting, which serves the site and keeps server logs - An email delivery service, which passes form submissions to our inbox - Business email, calendar and file storage - Video calling, for scoping calls They receive data only so they can provide their service to us. We may also disclose data when the law requires it. A current list of providers is available on request. ## Where it is processed Our providers may store or process data in countries other than yours. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live. ## Security Access to the messages you send us is limited to the people at The Method Crew who need it. The site is served over HTTPS, so form submissions are encrypted in transit. No storage or transfer method is perfectly secure, which is one more reason we keep only what we need. ## Children This site is for businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. ## Changes to this notice When this notice changes, we update the date at the top of the page.
