Why we are called The Method Crew

Crew

The people on your scoping call are the people who build the system, run the weekly demos and answer the alerts after launch. There is no hand-off from a sales team to a delivery team you have never met.

Method

The same 4 stages every time: Map, Prove, Build, Run. Every engagement starts with a priced map of the work, proves the idea on your real data, then builds and runs it. A fixed process keeps our quotes predictable and lets you stop cleanly at the end of any stage.

What we believe

Each of these shapes how we price, build or report. If you disagree with most of them, we are probably the wrong team for you, and that is worth knowing before a call.

  1. A pilot on your own data is worth more than a strategy deck.

Slides cannot be tested and a pilot can. That is why the second stage of every engagement is a working prototype scored against a pass mark you set, before anyone signs off on a full build.

  2. Prices belong on the website.

Every service page lists a price band, and the pricing page lists all 20. You should be able to check whether we fit your budget before you spend an hour on a call.

  3. The client owns the system.

We build on your accounts with your API keys, and the contract says the code, workflows and prompts are yours. If you stay with us, it should be because the monthly report shows the work paying back. Leaving should cost you a handover call and nothing more.

  4. AI is the wrong tool more often than vendors admit.

Rules are cheaper to run and easier to debug. When n8n, Make or Zapier can do the job with plain logic, we build that. A language model is worth paying for where the inputs are messy: free-text email, scanned documents, phone calls.

  5. Running costs should be visible from day 1.

Model, telephony and database usage goes on your own accounts at cost, with no markup. You see every invoice from OpenAI, Anthropic or Twilio yourself, and the proposal estimates the monthly bill before you sign.

Advice gets better when the advisor has to build it. A roadmap from us only contains work we are prepared to price and ship ourselves.

How we compare with a large consultancy and a freelancer

Any of them can be the right hire for a given project. This is where each one fits, written as fairly as we can.

The Method Crew compared with a large consultancy and a freelancer
Large consultancyFreelancerThe Method Crew
Who does the workSenior partners sell and steer; delivery is usually staffed by a larger, more junior team. One person, strong in their own skill, who may subcontract the rest. The people you meet on the scoping call, with no separate delivery team behind them.
How it is pricedDay rates or a large program fee, usually quoted after a paid discovery phase.Hourly or per task, with the total depending on how long it takes.Published price bands, and a fixed price per phase agreed in writing before work starts.
When you see something workingOften after a strategy phase of several months.Quickly for a single, well-defined task.In the Prove stage: a pilot on your real data, after a Map stage of 1 to 2 weeks.
What it coversStrategy, change management and large systems integration.Usually one skill, such as automation, SEO or web development.Strategy, automation, AI systems, search and web, from one team.
Who owns the resultVaries. Some deliver on licensed accelerators or their own platforms.Varies. Work is sometimes built on the freelancer's own accounts. You do, under the contract, from the first commit.
After launchA separate support contract, often with a different team.Depends on their availability that month.A monthly care plan from $1,500, or a handover to your own team.
Best fitLarge enterprises running multi-year, multi-country programs. One task with a clear spec and an owner who can manage it.Companies of 10 to 500 staff with a specific process, system or site to fix.

When to hire someone else

A large consultancy is the better choice for a rollout across thousands of staff in several countries, or a program that needs formal change management. A freelancer is the better choice for one well-defined fix, such as a single Zapier workflow, when you can write the spec yourself.

What we do not do

If you need one of these, we will say so on the first call and point you to someone who does that work.

  • Consumer apps

We do not build mobile or consumer apps for app stores. Our builds are internal systems, integrations, AI systems and marketing sites for businesses.

  • Cybersecurity audits

We follow your security rules and hand your team architecture notes, but we do not test or certify your security. Your security team or auditor signs off on anything sensitive.

  • General digital marketing

No social media management, paid ads or PR. Our search work is technical SEO, content written to be quoted and GEO, reported every month.

  • Guaranteed rankings or AI citations

Google, OpenAI and Perplexity decide what they show. We commit to the work and the reporting, and the report says so plainly when the numbers stall.

How a project runs day to day

A frosted glass pane with an iridescent sphere half hidden behind it and two clear beads nearby.
Remote-first
Interviews, screen-shares and demos run over video, so you can be anywhere. We travel for workshops and kickoffs when being in the room helps, and the cost is agreed before anyone books.
Access you control
We sign in through your SSO with one named account per person, and you can remove that access the day a project ends.
Your IT team at the demos
Your IT or security team can join any build demo to review the code and workflows.
Changes outside the scope
Small changes are $175 an hour, quoted in writing before the work starts. Bigger ones become a new phase with its own fixed price.
Handover you can run without us
A runbook, architecture notes and hands-on training for the people who use the system, so nothing depends on us staying involved.
Everything else we commit to
Every term that holds on every engagement, from a $1,500 care plan to a full agent build, is on one list.

Talk to the people who would do the work

Tell us about one process, system or site. On a 30-minute call we say what we would do first, what it would cost and whether we are the right team for it.

Request a 30-minute scoping call

A written scope and a fixed price follow within 5 working days of the call.
